Southern Capitol Ventures Closes Second Fund

RALEIGH, NC --  Southern Capital Ventures has closed its second fund, drawing $15 million from a roster of individual investors and institutions.  Its first fund was $5 million and is fully invested.

According to a report in VentureWire, the firm will make about 12 investments of between $1 million and $1.5 million each and will focus on early stage opportunities.

Southern Capitol focuses mostly on software, healthcare IT, medical device and ecommerce companies located in the North Carolina region.
